ALAMI KOREA 122 (President Jay Ryu) held the first-ever 2017 Security Industry Authority Conference in Seoul, Korea. It was held in the Grand Inter-Continental Hotel Seoul. 

 

This was the first of such conferences to be held in Korea.  The topics included “Threats of Terror,” “Armed Guards,” and “Private Military Company (PMC).” Professor Mark Burton, from Portsmouth University, as well as other leaders from around the world including representatives from Britain’s Horizon and Maritime Risk, as well as Iraq’s Gulf Shield participated in the conference.

Mr. Bum-Chan Lee, a former Assistant Deputy Minister of Intelligence Service, along with representatives from the Embassy of Iraq, security-related organizations, and many professors teaching in the security arena were also in attendance. 

The target audience for the conference were Korean companies who have an international presence. Professor Burton presented a brief on “International Security Market Situation and Threats of Terror for Civilians.” Other presentations on “SIA Licensing,” “Threats of Terror on Maritime Assets and Response,” “Security Condition for Companies Launched in Iraq” were also given to inform the attendees about the many topics surrounding terrorism. 

ALAMI KOREA 122 is the ALAMI Group’s Korean branch and specializes in armed guards, security, anti-terror measures.  It is an international company that focuses on developing leaders and obtaining official licensing. 

President Jay Ryu stated, “We now can issue SIA licenses and mature leaders in the security arena in Korea. As the result of this conference, we officially launched ALAMI KOREA 122 and hope to expand onto Asia and other parts of the world. 

ALAMI KOREA 122 appreciates the support from all those involved at this year’s conference and hopes more people can be informed about and attend next year’s conference.
