Park Chang-geun, a professor of the collapse of the Sansha Dam, said, "If the problem collapses, one-fifth of China's land will be affected. Our West Sea, Jeju Island, I don't think there will be any damage."

More than 45 million people were displaced by torrential rains in southern China.

The Yonhap news agency reported that Shanghai correspondent Cha Dae-woon visited the dam site. More than a month of heavy rain has caused the southern part of China to suffer the worst flood since the 1998 Great Flood, with the water level at the Sansha Dam nearing an all-time high since the dam was built. It's a close situation with only 10 meters left until the highest level.

Shanghai correspondent Cha Dae-woon of Yonhap News Agency visited the site of the world's largest hydroelectric dam and the front line of China's "War on Water."

Park Chang-geun, a civil engineering professor at Kwandong University, said, "If the problem collapses, one-fifth of China's land will be affected. I don't think there will be any damage to Jeju Island in the West Sea
